New versions of the Nike Pegasus, one of the brand’s longest-running footwear lines, are set to release soon.
The Swoosh just unveiled both the Pegasus 42 and the Pegasus ACG Trail. As the names of the styles suggest, the first model is designed for everyday terrains, while the latter pair focuses on handling the trails.
The Nike Pegasus 42 is equipped with an engineered mesh material on the upper, while the underfoot is supported by a curved full-length Zoom Air unit housed within a soft ReactX foam midsole and a traditional waffle outsole.
The Pegasus ACG Trail (pictured below) also features an engineered mesh upper, but this version is designed to be fast-drying to help athletes stay dry. The tooling uses a ReactX foam midsole combined with a new All Terrain Compound 2.0 on the outsole, which provides improved traction in wet environments and a wider base for better comfort on the trails.
Readers will be able to cop the Pegasus 42 starting on April 9 at Nike.com and at select Nike Running retailers. The ACG Pegasus Trail is also scheduled to drop in April, but a specific date has yet to be announced. Both models retail for $140.
