The ACG Pegasus Trail features a revised rubber outsole with hex lugs tailored for multisurface use.

According to Andrew Bumbalough, a former professional runner who now helps with shoe creation at Nike, the rubber compound adds 30 percent more traction, while also increasing abrasion resistance by double figures.

“Often these things are at odds,” he says. “You don’t usually get durability and performance in the same compound, but in this case, you get both. It’s really sticky, but it also lasts for quite a long time as well.”
