If you’re serious about running mid-level distances, then this shoe is for you. On’s Cloudboom Volt Running Shoes were released this week in two colorways for both men and women. They’re priced at $200, and stock in some sizes is already running low.
If you’re in the market for a new pair of running shoes, getting them from a brand that knows a thing or two about running is a no-brainer.
On says, “Engineered for speed, comfort, and energy return. The Cloudboom Volt is optimized to deliver a fast ride, whether you’re racing a 10K, a half-marathon, or more.”
These road-running shoes have a lightweight, breathable mesh upper. The CloudTec cushioning system is engineered for fast runs, and the double-layer of Helion HF hyper foam delivers energy return. They have a carbon-fiber Speedboard for powerful propulsion and an enhanced rocker and toe-off for extra propulsion.

The shoe was released on February 19, which means reviews for it are sparse right now. I was able to find a short video preview of the shoe from The Run Testers, who call it “a more affordable racing shoe for short distances.”
Running Warehouse Australia gives a first look at the shoe, saying the sneakers have a design that’s “built for serious speed.” The person speaking to the camera says he personally uses them for fast workouts, too.
The men’s version of these road running shoes comes in two colorways: Black/Juniper and White/Black. At the time of publishing, sizes range from men’s 8 to 13. Not all sizes are available in both colorways, and some are running low.
The women’s shoes come in Juniper/Limelight and White/Black. Sizes range from women’s 6 to 11, and, just like the men’s, some sizes are already sold out in one of the colorways, and some are running low.
